What Is a Modular Home?
A modular home is a home built to your local building code in a controlled, environmentally protected factory. The finished sections — called modules — are trucked to your site and set into place, where they are joined, finished and connected to utilities. To you, it looks, feels and performs like any quality site-built home.
How Is a Modular Home Built?
- Pick your plan. Choose one of our proven floor plans and walk it at our Chalmette model homes.
- Factory construction. Your home's modules are built indoors, following your plan and specifications, under constant quality control.
- Site preparation. Your foundation and utility connections are prepared on your lot while the modules are under construction.
- Delivery & set. The modules are delivered and set on your foundation, then joined together.
- Finishing. Our team completes the seams, hookups, trim and final touches — and you move in.

Why a Modular Home Makes Sense in Louisiana
South Louisiana's heat, humidity and hurricane risk demand a home built to withstand them. Modular construction excels here:
- Wind resistance — engineered connections and robust framing.
- Moisture management — precision sealing for a humid climate.
- A faster path indoors — especially useful after storms and rebuilds.
- Consistent quality at a predictable price.
